  1. On the 10th of November the Earl of Desmond left his retreat in the woods near Castleisland and went westwards towards Tralee Bay. He and John McElligott with two other men went to a place called "Doire more" in Glennageenty Glen. About five miles east of Tralee they entered late at night in Glennageenty.
    In the district around the English soldiers observed a fire beneath them in the Glen. Donal Moriarty explored the glen under the grove
