  1. Captain Griffith was the landlord of Castle Nenagh estate and he used have a lot of trouble for his tenants. He carried out two evictions and the gather to settle matters.
    Pat Mulvanny and Mrs Lynal were the two evicted whom Captain Griffith carried out. Some of their neighbours made huts for them out of sods. Then their farms were left waste and anybody could put their cattle grazing on it. Their farms were also boycotted. The two evicted people used get their food from their neighbours.
    My father told me this.
