  1. When a person is going to pay this trick he gets two stools and stretches a stick from one to the other. He then gets four clods of turf and puts one of them on each end of the two stools. He then crosses his feet and sits on the stick. He is then provided with a stick which he can keep in his hand to support him. When he finds himself steady enough he hits one of the clods and knocks it off. If he can knock off the four of them without falling he has the game won.

  2. Long ago the boys played a game called "Spocann" the button. When playing this game one boy got a button and struck it against the wall. Another boy hopped his button against the wall and tried to have it within a span of the other boys button. If he could do so he could lift the two buttons. At this time a boy having a string of buttons had many comrades.
