    Kingsmountain went for shelter to a wood near by with his wife and three sons. The fury of the storm uprooted the wood and the five perished in the awful havoc.
    A man named Taafe who lived near Cnoc in Aifpann lost two hundred sheep in the gale and the snow which followed. When the snow came many were homeless and numbers died from exposure.
