Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Long ago there were two giants living in a house. There were two stones on a hill. One day they made a bet to see which one of them would throw the stones the farthest. Each stone was as big as a house. One day they went up on a mountain to throw the stones.
One of them threw the stone halfway out in the sea, and the other threw it into Easkey and he was so vexed that he got a sword and split the rock in two halves and it is called the "Split rock" ever since. It is about two miles and a half from Dromore West Co Sligo and on the side of Easkey road.
The people often measured it and they said the sides were the same size.
