  1. About thirty years ago my uncle went to a neighbours wake which lay to the Southern side of his house. Between both houses lay a large piece of bog and river.
    At six o'clock when he was going to the wake he went through this bog because it was a short cut. He arrived there safely and went in to see the corpse. At nine o'clock when all the people departed the woman of the house asked my uncle to remain for a while. He did so and never felt until it was twelve o'clock.
    When the clock struck twelve he left the house to go home. The woman advised him to go home by road but he insisted
