    of that period he decreed them for the full amount. The decree was executed and an act passed abolishing arrears due provided one year was paid. All the Pollock tenants paid the amount due and so baffled the cunning landlord. The act was again repealed. He again allowed arrears to accumlate to a period of fifteen years and was about to decree them when he dropped dead.
    His successor was Blake of Ballyglunin, who gave them all a clear receipt.
