   long garden because it is so long. Pairch an Aonaig is so called because the fair used be held their long ago. At the top of the town there is a place called "plantation"; there is a very big rock and there is supposed to be a giant buried under it. The rock is shaped in the form of a hand and is called the "Giants Hand". A good piece away from the plantation is a place called the "Gungle"; it gets its name from the trees that grow in it. The plantation gets its name from all the trees which were planted there long ago.

   The reason why Gort Leathan was called Gort Leathan because it is a wide field.
   It is called Garraidhe Árd because it is up on a height and Garraidhe na gCloch
