  2. Herbs were used in the district for curing certain complaints long ago. Dandelion were supposed to be good for the blood. In spring they used to gather a lot of dandelions. Then they used to boil them and mix them with treacle and whiskey. They used to take a teaspoon every morning before the breakfast.
