    and more in drills. The making of a drill is to till the ground well before drilling with a plough, then the measure is put in the middle of the drill.
    Some farmers put the seed in the Allie of the drill before they put the measure in it. Before the people sow the potatoes they cut them into slits, and spread them on the drills. The instruments used in sowing potatoes are, ploughs, spades, and forks.
    Wooden ploughs were used in this district some years ago. This is the way wooden ploughs were made. They were long in the top and long underneath. Spades are made and bought a shop. Some blacksmiths make spades. There lived a man named Pat Dooley he lived in the parish of Cappatagle and he was able to make spades.
    In the harvest the people grub the potatoes again, and spray them twice or three times. After a while the people dig the potatoes with spades and some with ploughs. Both mean and women pick the potatoes and put them into pits in the fields. In some places the people help
