  1. (continued from previous page)
a lamb tethered in a field. Every day when he went to move the lamb to fresh pasture there was a half-crown lying on the ground. This morning he went to the field and the fairy told him he would make him rich if he would tell no man. The people were wondering where he was getting all the money and they asked him and he told them. Then all his money left him and he was as poor as ever.
