    When there is a ring round the moon it is a sign of rain.

    If you look at a hill and it seems closer to you than it is it is a sign of bad weather.
    When dew falls on the grass it is a sign that good weather is coming.
    If the haws do not stay on branches long it is a sign that the coming winter is not going to be severe.
    When the trout goes up the river it is a sign of bad weather, and when it goes down the river it is a sign of good weather.
