  1. Boys and girls make little toys to amuse themselves. Boys make little boats of tin and paper. They make houses of wood and they make little guns of alter branches. They make "spinning jennies" and they make snares for rabbits and hares. On a dark night they can blind birds with a lamp. Girls string beads and make necklaces of daisies. They make little dolls, and sometimes they make bows and arrows. They make hair-bands out of paper and often they make belts.
