    Chicken-weed is used as some sort of poultice. Himloc is deadly poison and is good for sores. The Créachtach or Cranesbill grows only in very bad marshy land. It is a whitish plant. It is boiled and used for curing some disease in cattle and horses.
    Créachtach and black turf boiled together used to make a lovely black dye. The oak bark is boiled and used as a wash for cattle and horses. Farhaun is an herb that is very good for pigs.
    Nettles are boiled and given to young turkeys and chickens for the pip. Some people eat nettles boiled on meat as it is said to be good for the blood.
