  1. 1. Little girls wander through the meadows gathering big daisies. These daisies they make into chains and wreaths and wear as garlands.
    2. Children go from field to field in search of purple honeyed clover heads. They pull the heads and then pluck out each little flower or tube and suck out the honey.
    3. Children follow bees and when the bee alights on a flower they catch him with a cloth, kill him and pull out the little ball of honey and eat it.
    4. In snowy weather boys make a sort of cage of sally rods. They make a hole in the snow, put crumbs in it, then a long string is attached to the cage
