  1. Care of feet
    Long ago people did not start wearing shoes until they were twenty years or until they were going to England. There are two women in this district who never wore shoes: one is Mrs. Grady in Cloonfane and the other is Mrs. McGloughlin from Barroe. Those women never wore shoes only to Mass.
    Children wear either clogs or shoes in winter but they go bare footed in Summer as it is much healthier than wearing shoes.
    Shoes are not made locally but they are repaired by John Gallagher Cloonfane but he does not make shoes. There is a clog factory in Gowel and the head of it is Tom Parsons. There are about twelve people working in it. He travels round the country selling clogs. There is only
