    marry the girl. They would spend the night discussing the matter over. At daybreak the man of the house would say that he would give the young man his daughter. So then all would go home. On the following Wednesday the young couple would get married. After the marriage there would be a big draf and you could hear the horses galloping a mile away. The neighbors would set fire to straw and if it did not light it was a sign that someone of the party would die. On that night they would have a wedding
