  1. On the side of the Partry mountains there lived a landlord named Crotty. He owned only two villages. Crotty was very cruel to the tennants he made them work for five pennies a day and he gave very poor support. Crotty evicted the poor tennants of the farm but in years later they came again and built houses in their own villages.
    When-ever he went on a journey he had to be protected by the R.I.C. as the people watched him night and day to kill him. One night he was on his way
