The dead bodies were laid out in a house near by. The next day an inquest was field on the dead bodies. Then (then) the parents took home their children for burial. A man named Grey made the boat, and when the man came to bring it home the mare would not draw it home. Then Grey said not to take it or something would happen, but the man got another horse and took it home. It was a terrible sight to see the poor parents of the drowning children crying on the shore that evening. There is a song made on the drowning in Lough Sillan.
