An old man named Tady Clancy lived in this parish about fifty years ago. Any child who got the craos galar was taken to him to be cured; for he was a posthumous child, and all he had to do was to breathe on the sick child. He had to be fasting to do so, and as a smoke was considered a breaking of the fast, and as Tady was fond of an early morning pipe, the patients had to be there at the dawn of day or he would be very cross, if they kept him waiting. He had to informed the night previously so as to be fasting. The cure had to be done three morning.- Bailitheoir
