Long ago it was customary for tailors to go to the house of the person who wanted clothes made and stay there until he was finished with his work.
This has long since ceased to continue.

The cloth usually used for making men's clothes in this district is black or blue serge and tweeds of all colors.
In almost every house in this district shirts are made.
