- I have a churn at home. We churn twice in the week. It is called an-end-over-end churn.
The churn is about three feet high and it has round edges. It is on a stand. There is a handle on it and when churning the handle is turned round and round.
The cream is allowed to thicken. It is then put into the churn and if the day is cold hot water is added.
Butter is seen on the lid of the churn and when the butter goes off the glass again the churn is finished.
It takes about 3/4 hour to churn.- Bailitheoir
