One time a man named John Brady from Blackhills...

One time a man named John Brady from Blackhills heard that if a person caught a fairy and did not take his eyes off him and asked him for a pot of gold, he would show him where it was hidden. Suddenly one night he saw one near a fort. He ran on his tippy toes and caught him. He asked him for a pot of gold and he told him he would show him where it was hidden.
So they went through fields until they came to a very big drain. When they were crossing the man kept his eyes ion the fairy and did not watch where he was walking and he fell in. When he got out the fairy was gone. So the man had to go home without any gold.
