  1. There are no Leipreachans around here, but it is said there is one in Oldcastle. He is dressed all in red, and is very small. There is a story told about him.
A man named Joe Reynolds from Kells was working in Oldcastle, as a carpenter. His work - house was built on a stone where the Leipreachan used to sit and work. One day the man was working as usual by himself when a Leipreachan suddenly appeared to him. He put a spell on the man.
The next day the man was sick in bed and he was very bad. He had a doctor attending him, and he ordered him to hospital at once, and he is there still.
