  1. Famous hunting horse owned by Major Burrows of Stradone. This horse has no equal & the following poem was written about his merits & downfall.
    Major Burrows purchased me
    And I a boney horse
Not a hedge or ditch about Stradone
    But nimbly I could cross
The speed of foot that I had got
My mane went up and down
And for me manys' a gentleman
    Had offered five hundred pound.
The very first season he hunted me
Great pleasure in me he found
The very next season he hunted me
Great failures in me he found
The heats and colds that I had got
    On me they went astray
And caused a running in my nose
Which follows me to this day.
Told by Patrick Reilly who remembers Burrows following the hounds on this famous horse.
