- There was an only boy who lived with his mother in Lisanymore. They had an outlying farm in Carrigia. His name was Jack Trotter and he was a protestant. Every evening the boy came and tended his calves and foal.
There was a boy named McGevna and he thought that if Jack was dead that all the protestants would be gone out of Carriga.
One evening he persuaded the boy to play pitch and toss in a place called the watery land. He succeeded and the boy played with him until after dark.
He killed the boy and carried him to the Carriga bog pass.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
