  2. The old people are always very careful to observe from what direction the wind blows on Hallow eve night. From it they can foretell what sort the weather will be for the Winter. If the wind blows from the south the Winter will be mild, rainy, and wet. If it blows from the West the winter will be rough and stormy. If it blows from the East or North the Winter will be dry, frosty and very cold.
