    then the wheel was made.
    The wheel was brought to the forge in the next townland Clarboy. In the forge an iron bar was formed into a circle. The circle was hammered on to the rim of felloes. Two round irons are put on each end of the nave also.
    At the front and back of each farmer's cart made locally is a block of wood which goes beyond the body of the cart called the treansan or treansum.

  2. In olden times people ate seldom, about three times in the day. The meals were breakfast, dinner and supper. In Summer the people got up at sunrise and worked for two or three hours.
