  1. There is a Tunnel beside my home, there is a railway going through it. It was made 90 years ago. My Grand-father was at the making of it. They cut the Tunnel with spades and picks. My Grand-father was the only man in my district to have a cart and a horse. He got the job of carting the clay and stones to Tuneymore Lough. The stuff which was cut away was dumped near Tuneymore Castle, where there was a lake which is now only marsh because it has been drained. There were 7 weeks of frost at the time and they had to stop working at it they could not even get spades or picks into the ground. My father says there was a man killed off a scaffold he was wheeling a barrow of stones and he fell 30 feet and broke his neck. The height of it now is about 90 feet. They were making the Tunnel for two years. It is not really a tunnel because it is open at the top.
