  1. The crooked road otherwise known as the "Reaske Lane" is situated about two and a half miles from Cavan and serves as a bye-road between Crubany and Dublin roads. In the years 1847 the year of the famine the crooked road was commenced but when the work was over half accomplished it had to be abandoned owing to lack of funds. It served as a division between two adjoining estates owned by Mr Neville and Mr Saunderson, and each owner gave four and a half feet to make the road nine feet wide (wide). It runs through the townlands of Corglass, Corhoogan, Reaske, Arahan, and Pullamore. The men engaged in making this road were paid the remarkable low wage of sixpence per day.
