  1. 1. To cure warts:- Rub a bit of fat on the wart, bury the fat in the ground, and it disappears.
    2. Rub a snail on the wart and throw it in a bush.
    3. Redden a horse stump in a fire, and put it on the top of the wart, and it will fall off.
    4. Put a stone in a bag for every wart you have, if a funeral is coming leave it on the road, and the warts disappear.
    5. To cure a dog with fits, give him a ball of blue.
    6. To cure chilblains - Make a paste of breadsoda and water and rub it on the chilblain.
    7. Rub paraffin oil on the chilblain.
    8. Rub the chilblain with a raw onion and it will cure it.
    9. Bathe the chilblain in cold potato water.
    10. To cure sore eyes - Bathe with cold tea.
    11. Cures for a cold - Goose-grease rubbed well into the chest helps to cure it.
    12. Rub with goose-grease for a pain in the back, rub the affected part well.
    13. If a joint is out of place rub with goose-grease
    14. To cure cramps - Rub the affected part with goose-grease.
    15. For pains - Get the leaves of the tall ragweed and the small ragweed, put them into a
