  1. When my Father was going to school he went to Davidstown. Miss Mac Hugh was the teacher. At that time, they used to learn English, of course there was no such thing as Irish.
    The way they spent the day was - from the time they went in, at about ten o'clock, until twelve they were at sums, writing and reading. Then at twelve they said their prayers and then they were at their Catechism until half-twelve
