  1. My grandfather walked from Kelsha to a field at the back of my house, to a school. It was an old cow-shed.
    There were two schools in Davidstown before the present one. It was to the two old ones my father went. The first school had steps going up off the road to it. The next was where the shed is now, and the present one is facing the road. There were no jotters and they had to write on slates and there was no Irish taught in those times
