  1. The Rath.
    There is a Rath as we call it in Snowy-Vale. The fairies are supposed to meet in this place. Often a few times there was the finest of music to be heard there in it for an hour then it would travel to the river Burrin and follow and follow its course in the direction of Ballenrush. On a summers evening a boy going to ramble saw a girl dressed in white at the Burrin river and followed her on. She went to this Rath and it could not be seen where she went.
