    mill owned by Coolahans in Derrybeg (along Jacksons Avenue). It was not worked in living memory. Another woollen mill was near Fr. Bergins' gate in Captain Bennetts land. It was owned by Loftus. No trace of it remains except a flag stone. A tailor worked in Clareen. Tom Shellue, and made all the suits for the people of the district. He used to work in their houses.

  2. In the house of Phil Pilkington, Bellhill, there is a linen spinning wheel, a family heirloom. At the house of Mr. Pat Shanahan they still have linen sheets and table cloths that were spun by their mothers and grandmothers also crotchet quilts, patch quilts and lace.
