A local National School teacher who has this as her Christian name says the béarla for Rynagh, or Raghnaighe is Una, & she signs herself alternately "Una - " or " Rynagh-"
The Convent N.S. is called St. Rynagh's School, the Catholic Church is called St. Rynagh's Church. The parish is called "Gallen & Rynagh".
An old woman (Mrs Delaney, Church Lane, Banagher) told me that there is an other underground passage from the Old Church up to a local ruined castle called Garrycastle.
