- The wild birds most commonly found in my district are, the plover, the wild goose, the wild duck and the swan.
In early summer the wild goose migrates to Scotland and she returns in October. It is believed that they don't go back until they get a feed of green corn in Spring. The plover makes her nest on a hillock. The eggs are green colour with black spots on them. There are two kinds of plover, the grey and the green.
The swan is a very big bird of a white(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
