   A stone was found in Tobergal. Drawing of stone: actual size axe-shaped found in Tobergal (stone unpolished) was not found near are at bottom of page. John Murphy of Ballytreacy, Boolavogue, Ferns found a bayonet in Tobergal which he believes belonged to the '98 period. He kept it till it was completely destroyed by rust. (drawing of bayonet) This bayonet is similar to the bayonet found by John Murphy. It was picked up on the battlefield after the battle of Ross and was carried to Boolavogue.
