Ballyorley, Boolavogue - The Local Patron Saint
Saint Cormac is our patron saint. There are ruins of an old church in the townland of Kilcormac and people say that was St Cormac's church. There is a well in a bog nears the ruins called St Cormac's well. Saint Cormac's feast-day is the twenty-first of June and our "patron" is held on the Sunday nearest to the twenty-first [of June].Gerard Leacy,
