Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)feet by the people at present in this parish, but in former times it was different. Some years ago people who are old age pensioners now, never wore a boot.
They went from place to place in their bare feet in dry cold and wet weather. Even children of the present day wears boots or shoes from when they start to walk.
It is a rare thing to see a barefooted person now, except the "tinkers" or "travelling - folk," and in summer the school boys. The girls do not go barefooted to school now-a-days, but in former times they did.
