    There are numbers of riddles, but these are ones which I heard in Mayglass.
    Q. A man went in to an orchard, he saw apples on a tree, he took no apples off, nor he left no apples on and how could that be ?
    A. There were two apples on the tree, he took one off, and he left one on.
    Q. A house-full and a yard full and could not take up a spoon - ful ?
    A. Smoke
    Q. How many cow's tails would it take to reach the moon ?
    A. One, if it was long enough.
    Q. I lighted the fire with lies and truth ?
    A. I lighted the fire with a newspaper.
    Q. Look in my face and I'm everybody, look at my back and I'm nobody ?
