Some of the people who lived in these houses emigrated to America. the last person who lived in "Rath Boreen" died about 13 years ago. Nobody emigrated during the past few years. The place got its name from the "Hill of Croc Money" which is an ancient rath or fort. There is a large house in the townland known as "Rath House" in which a man named West lived. It is uninhabited now. It is owned by Mrs. Malone of Shinglas, Ballymore, Co. Westmeath.
