- These facts were told to me by Michael Mulvaney aged 58 years a native of Empor.
First the sallies are got then then left in a dry place for about three weeks.
Then the cliabh maker would bring out the sallies into a garden and stick about twenty of them into the ground an inch apart.
Then he would get other rods and twist them around the one's that was stuck in the ground.
The bottom of a cliabh is the hardest part to make. He would make a sally into a round hoop and twist(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
