    A young girl, a relative of mine, fell and sprained her arm. Her mother put a poultice of fresh cow-dung to the injured limb, and having bandaged it recited the following spell (I was present) over the arm:-
    "Ta an fear sin ag goid móna
    Beiredh sé as lóin leis
    An león í sin?
    Ní h-eadh acht goin."
