    carrying four blackthorn sticks. They began to beat the man and his wife. At last the man told them to stop. They went back into the bottles. The bottles were not long in the house till the king came to gather the rent. The king wished to see what was in the bottles. He told the man he would give him the first two bottle for them. The man gave him the bottles for the other ones. When the king went home and told the men to work they killed him but the farmer and his wife lived happy ever after.
