    One day the Keeffes of Raharney were threshing oats, It was the custom that time to thresh it on the road, while they were threshing it Briscoe's carriage came up and went through the oats. They sent for Fr. Swords and when it was coming back Fr. Swords stopped it so that it could not move. He left it there for two or three days until they asked to let them bring it home.
    Then the Briscoes were holding a party and they invited Fr Swords. When he came the Briscoes said they would shoot him because he said old Mr Briscoe was in hell. Then Fr Swords said he could prove it. They told him
