When the rich man's daughter went up-stairs to get her ring she could not find it. She followed the little girl and asked her if she had seen it. She said she had not. So the wealthy man said he would have court over it. The maid said that she had seen the farmer's daughter putting on the ring, so the little girl was sent away to a school.
