House still remains - as well as the large stone building, which housed his Yeomen.
A short distance from this is a kind of vault - called by the natives - the ice-house - supposed to be the wine-cellar attached to the big house.
I believe it was of greater importance than this because three underground channels - lead in different directions to important neighbouring church-yards (once the site of important monastries) Crickstown, Trevit and Skyrne).
The tunnels are undoubtedly there but are unexplored since Kilbrew fell into decay and became an estate.
At present it is a patchwork of divided farms.
