    Dan Lynch also wrote:-
    With hard times and seasons bad
    It drained the little means he had;
    He was put out ill-fed, ill-clad.
    And ere that midnight died.
    Are there any now to take the place.
    Where poor old Dunne had spent his days?
    "But sure" 'twas said "there's none so base.
    Or foolish yet beside."
    But soon was seen in Collon town.
    Staggering up the Street and down.
    A planter with forbidden frown.
    Who bore the name of "Stubbs".
    His worthy sons a mighty crew
    Were not too long to come in view;
    And at their heels a boyish few
    Of Royal Irish Stubbs.
