    throw it into the river which runs at the back of the graveyard. When the corpse was brought in, the protestants made a dash to throw it in but they were over powered and the corpse was buried.
    3. The oldest stone in the graveyard is named and dated, Richard Basford died 1666 there are some latin inscriptions on it too. There are other stones dated 1878 and 1796. -
